Matthew...you da man!

I've been looking for some of the EXACT
data that you have come out with!!!
I'll be heading to your site later tonight and do some serious digging.

One thing I've been looking for, and now you've got me really excited,,, is this: "and moved up 7.66% while the "typical" bear move lasted 6 days and retraced -5.24%. In other words this market traded 3 steps forward and". A friend of ours on the Systems thread uses such targets for his system when trading the SPooo's (sp-futures). I myself in real time trading the QQQ have found that with my system, many times I'll have a "nice" gain slip into a small gain by the time I get a sell signal. Since I have no set profit targets at this time, your data will help me implement some targets,.... I'm sure of it. Right now I'm flying seat of the pants target wise...when I have what I think is a good gain or target...I sell 3/4 of my position and just let the rest ride till I have a sell sig. For instance I was long around 109-110 and blew 3/4's of it out at 116+ the other day.

thanks again,

FredE
ps..without a rally into 10:30am, I'll have sell sigs on the SPX and NDX.

Matthew...first of all thanks again.

I'm sure I'll have more questions on how you got your stats, but my first question is how did you determine the time periods. Did you do rolling 30 day periods or did you just use the actual monthly time frames, secondly how did you identify your 282 pivot points?

God Bless,

Fred
