Interesting comment from p. 14 of the 8/16/99 InfoWorld:

“I don't think they (SAP) do get the Net,” said David Dobrin, an analyst at Benchmarking Partners, in Cambridge, MA. “SAP is at least a year behind its main competition, at this point Oracle. The kiss of death would be to become a legacy system. . .I don't see anything to make me think that's not happening."

Some analyst always comes out and tries to shoot ORCL down during their quiet period. It;s happened before with UBS and Goldman... If lehman is wrong, it rallies. Probably makes ORCL look better anyway for surprising to teh upside.
