Affy acquisitions?

I'm new to this stock, buying in last week at 67 (been nice to me so far!). I bought it as a LTBH.

What do people think about AFFX utilizing their market position and relatively high stock currency to buy a much smaller company like NGEN to improve their technology? AFFX's cap is approaching $2 billion while NGEN is trading with just a $140 million market cap. What does everyone think?
