Dennis

not that I recall.

Did you double check to insure you have the correct file and drive noted in the "define automatically updated directories"? This is the only problem this computer hostile dude can come up with ;0)

Dennis,

Dick and David gave you the correct procedure. If you still can't get it call QP Tech Support during the day and Janene or someone will walk you through it. The metastock output utility is very powerful and easy to adapt to many applications. Post more details if you wish decribing your data structure and what you want to do.

QP Virtual is more advanced. start with regular Metastock data and understand how QP deals with that before attempting virtual metastock files. ASCII is only needed for programs that don't read Metastock data or QP2 data natively. I haven't used downloader for over 2 years. Its unecessary with QP.

The output to Metastock utility has all the features you need.

VERY IMPORTANT: DO NOT HAVE METASTOCK OPEN WHILE UPDATING YOUR DATA WITH QP2. This is the cause of many problems.
