I think the TimeSink was from the SETI program which I've since removed.

I removed the regscanw and I think that helped a little too.

I've got LoadPowerProfile listed twice in msconfig but only once in the registry. Think that means anything?

Question for you.

I have someone that picked up a new system with Windows 98 SE on it. She has older backup sets that she made using backup in Windows 3.1 The backup program in Windows 98 will not recognize these backup sets. Stupid of Microsoft IMO, but what else is new.

Any ideas on how she can restore this data fairly easily (she has about 100 other backup sets)
