10 day mortality not good? but 60 day mortality/morbidities good?
How does he gets numbers? He claims talking to the company.

Read the note again it says, "My suspiciion is that the 10 day mortal. data was not stat. signif, but that the 60 day data is."

Murphy is speculating...no inside information.

Cacaito, I am way ahead of you! I specifically told Ellen that Murphy was saying they missed Mortality and were trying to sneak by on Morbidity. He started saying this nonsense yesterday! She stated that was NOT accurate at all. She is supposed to contact him. Obviously no one from Xoma told him anything about the mortality numbers or any other specifics about the trial! You know folks, things are really getting silly now. Please Cacaito, you know Ellen from your talks, pick up the phone and ask her ANY hard ball question you want. I implore everyone to just contact the company and ask questions so we can discuss what the company said.

Murphy was expressing his own thoughts or suspicions. Not uncommon to what any of might think. With only 34 deaths perhaps the 10 day look back did not show stellar statistically significant performance but just consistent clinical benefit. As Sutro analyst and others comment this does not mean it did not perform very good.

My point is not to rehash the results but to point out that Murphy does not get inside information, but he is paid by his customers to give an opinion and he was just doing that.
