I wouldn't laugh too loud; I saw Bush fielding these questions this evening, and he was shouting at reporters like an out-of-control lunatic. He came off very poorly.....

The Democrats have learned the best defense is a good offense, and they keep turning every thing around so that none of their people have to answer anything. Good ploy, don't you think?

So when the question is one he can answer truthfully no, he answers no. More reason to believe the answer to the question about cocaine and marijuana use more than 7 years ago is yes.

Has it occurred to you he's keeping the issue alive by not coming clean? I think he'd be better off to say as early as possible something along the lines of "Yes, I experimented ... I know it was wrong... etc. ...I haven't admitted this in the past because I didn't want to set a bad example ...".

The American people are very forgiving - just look at Clinton. If the press pressures him to just come out and make a clean breast of things early, they're actually doing him a big favor.
