I must be sleeping. That's a great article and certainly the most forthcoming the company's been in some time. I'd begun to think everyone had fled to the North Woods en masse.

When John says, "Newbridge will clarify its IP strategy on Sept. 23 and on another date between now and then," he certainly knows how to tease.

But, hey, I'm ready. The truck's loaded.

<< Newbridge, through direct and indirect holdings, owns about 60% of Ironbridge and
Northchurch. Lawlor declined to comment on whether Newbridge planned to acquire the
minority interests in either or both of these affiliates. However, he said they are "key" parts
of the company's growth strategy.

By waiting so long to unveil its IP strategy, some analysts have been concerned that
Ironbridge, in particular, could be becoming too pricey for Newbridge. >>

This doesn't make any sense to me. "some analysts" are "concerned" that a startup, 60% of which is owned by NN, is becoming too pricey for it?

MRV Communications is in a similar position, with several startups in which they own or control more than 50% of the shares. Posters on the MRV board are delighted with this situation, and believe that these hidden assets hold considerable future potential for unlocking the shareholder value in the parent.

What am I missing? Comments appreciated........
