Hi kathy, I used to write the most complicated, arcane, convoluted scans I could come up with and then scan the whole market. A real pain. Now I use a very trimmed down data base of stocks and rely on a handful of simple scans. Works better for me. The one that kicked out most of those from the Sunday night portfolio as well as most of tonights was a simple "better than 5% price increase on a better than 50% average volume increase". Then a simple look at the charts and...the final results. There is no limit to the type of scans and combinations you can run. I happen to run these scans on software but there are some sites that provide limited scanning capabilities as well. Remind me tomorrow and I'll rummage through my bookmarks for a few sites that should help you quite a bit. Stan
