I wonder if anyone is selling based on Electrofuel news?

We looked at this battery some time ago, and to me it seems inferior to the Valence battery cells currently being shipped. Its essentially a bunch of small Li-cobalt cells strung together. These are handstuffed into a titanium can, that is necessary to get around the somewhat incendiary (some would say "explosive") tendencies of that much Li-cobalt.

These batteries may have a niche market, but I don't think they will compete long term with larger more efficient mass-produced battery cells like Valences. I actually hope the Electrofuel battery sells well. I can't think of anything that will cause OEMs to buy Valence cells faster than a clear indication of market demand for longer life batteries, even at $500 a pop like Electrofuel's battery.
