you put it in a nutshell "Sacrificing the Read Economy to Financial Markets"
another war breaking out? smh.com.au
also did you read about that ruling by NY judge re gambling and taxes..if the bet was entered on computer in new york then new york
taxes should apply?
I listened to interview given by Abby Joseph cohen yesterday..
why don't the people at cnbc ask her some nice questions..ie is
wealth effect generated by stock market gains versus income?
are you afraid of all those "cartels" forming as a result of this lean and mean environment?
how does "mean mother love" get justified when you see all the
destruction wall street has done to emerging countries..(yes blame it
on despots)
why is there more "anomie" raising its awful head in the greatest
booming economy?
Is it sound for the US to be come simply a service economy and relying on other countries to do "the blue collar work"
Is she afraid of growing antiAmerican sentiment and antisemitic sentiment?
etc
ps did you listen to interview by Martin Armstrong on that link I
posted to Hutch yesterday..he does sound no nonsense
in his interview he said that the western countries' governments
no longer want gold ..wonder if we have to wait for the East and India
to emerge..since we are relying on them more and more for the tangible
goods..it looks as if we are gradually handing ourselves over to their control..except for our "defense technology"..but somehow that doesn't fly since it would just mean an end game..
in his interview he said India and china view their citizens as despensable..
In the United States thank goodness we don't..(at least not yet..)

Re: Sacrificing the Real Economy.

Along the lines of your post, NBC had a piece recently about how the infrastructure in the U. S. National Park system has deteriorated due to budget cutbacks, and this at a time of ever increasing attendance. According to NBC, each park needs tens of millions of dollars in repairs.

Park rangers also provide security, even run small jails, and their number has been cut back severely, hurting security.
