I agree that Japan is a promising market for Softbank, but the fact remains that the stock already trades on the Tokyo Stock Exchange and the stock does not trade on the NYSE or Nasdaq yet. Both the American Investor and the Japanese Investor have a lot of room to add Softbank to their portfolios over the next year or two and an eventual listing for a Softbank Trading Vehicle on an American Exchange should help propel the stock price upward.

I wonder if American investors fully understand Softbank's strong Internet presence in Japan. I even wonder if American Investors understand the potential impact of the Softbank/Microsoft/Tepco Alliance in Wireless Internet direct to consumers. Finally I wonder if American Investors can see the impact that a Japanese Nasdaq might have.

On the other side, I wonder if Japanese Investors can fully understand the potential impact of the Internet on their daily lives and Commerce. Deployment and usage of the Internet is very limited in Japan in comparison to the US.

This SI Board, Raging Bull and Motley Fool pull together a lot of this information, but I suspect that there is a much bigger market for Softbank Stock than the relatively small number of fanatics like us who read and post here.
