<< It might be expected that the JFK library only contains positive spin. >> Spin... Duh.

It's documented history. This library has been funded and maintained by the US Government, as it does with every administration, to preserve it's records. NSAM's (National Security Action Memos) are archived for historical reasons.

You have anything to back up your claims?

Ngo Dinh Diem was a friend of JFK before he became President. Your first statement claimed that JFK escalated the war. Show me the numbers to back up what you are saying. The number of advisors, as coined by the Eisenhower administration, did not increase in number until LBJ TOOK power then we had a real WAR.

<< the overthrow of Saigon's president, Ngo Dinh Diem, who had been murdered >> (by whom?)
It's a fact JFK was murdered, it's a fact he gave the order to start pulling out troops(1000 advisors leaving 15,500), and it's a fact that LBJ escalated the war to 1/2 million solders.

Have you ever heard of the "National Archives and Record Administration" established in 1985. Not too long ago this material was declassified.
