cc on the 15th coach2235 08/19/1999 09:26 am EDT This message is for this board ,the SI board and the YAHOO board (where I have posted it two or three times).I talked to IR about the CC on the 15th and was told , by a very nice,polite person ,that Mr. Capellas moved the announcement up and included it in the conferance call right after earnings came out.This person directed me to the press releases at compaq.comThere was nothing else scheduled at this time.This person said to call back anytime and to watch the press releases.This was quite a change from the past when you couldn't get anyone on the phone to talk to.I was also told that since the change over that the employees were like a bunch of happy campers.No update on layoffs except that it would be completed by the end of the year.Employees like their new boss!!!!!!!!!!!Thats it.
