ed...welcome back. I read your post with interest and tend to believe a lot of what you say. However, don't the dynamics of this current market affect some of the direction DELL is taking?

Technicals point to 45$ as an obvious resistance level...
not to mention the defensive option positions
that need to see Dell close the week below 45...give it
some time before you slap on the 40-45$ sticker.

Hi edamo, good to see you back again. Missed your postings.

Here's my 2 cents on the recent developments. First, I agree with you and your comments of "perception". As we have previously discussed, perception is extremely important in moving a stock. Second, Dell's earnings report clearly showed that they are now running on all cylinders. Sure was an outstanding report. The report alone, IMO, is enough to create a positive perception of the company and the stock. (However, I must admit that I'm still concerned about the valuation of the company.) I for one think that the stock will move into the 50's during this quarter. Although, this is dependent on what the overall market does, interest rates, China devaluation, etc.

Given all the upgrades that Dell received, I think we will see the brokers trying to move the stock. Further, when comparing Dell to the other box makers, one must admit that Dell is "king of the hill".
