CM,

I am all for good quips, but you might want to be careful about what you say to teenagers who show up on the thread. Kids are a little different these days, as Chris Byron pointed out yesterday in his piece on upcoming IPO of the Edison Project.

Earnings due out on the 31st of Aug. with $206 million in revenue and EPS of 49 cents the penguin consensus. Make up your own whisper number and keep in mind that CMVT is taking market share from LU and it is only the second or third inning in terms of worldwide voicemail penetration. With Kobi & Co. looking more and more like the '98 Yankees, it appears the only thing we have to fear is fear itself. And maybe punky teenagers...

Keep your eye on gross margins as they have been trending higher. With the repeat orders and with the higher margin add-on products coming on stronger than a Yankee pennant run, it does not look like Verwaayan or even Greenspan can take away our punch bowl any time soon. Add-ons are roughly 10% of revenue are growing faster than the rest of the mix, and it looks like Kobi wants to be the King of Prepaid Wireless as well. The number crunchers at Goldman Sucks (sorry-I hate people who make more money than me-its just a character flaw in my shallow personality) seem to think that for every 1% improvement in gross margins you can tack on an incremental 11 to 12 cents in EPS to next years earnings. Do the math and then buy the stock.

I can only think of a few shareholders I like less as co-owners than people like Vinik. He's blown up a few good companies whenever he whimsically chooses to exit.

I wish Uncle Sam introduced a new 70% tax rate on holdings under 6 months and that vinik got paid on after tax returns rather than gross returns.

Oh well, I get such great allocations of hot offerings with my 20% turnover.
