I cannot argue with Pavan directly - he is in the enviable position of being in a forum where he can make public allegations and the only guys who can tackle him are BIDS.
Only the ultimate success of the company will do in his reputation. I have a growing sense of alarm - the more of these reports on BIDS I see which are erroneous or sloppy reporting. The latest I speak of is the Globe and Mail (Canada) yesterday - they misreported that according to the latest Insider reports, Godin sold 86,000 shares of BIDS, in April '99.
2 points -
#1 the most recent reports for TSE would relate to June/July trading, not April. So this is a rehash, accidental or deliberate, I do not know, for the sake of another negative headliner about BIDS.
#2. Godin as has been reported only on chat groups, DONATED these shares, but that never got mentioned ANY time this has been reported. I would like to see other join me in being active in rebutting this sort of crap...is there a discussion thread solely devoted to BIDS and negative press? Let me know...let's get one going!!
Also, I will be writing the Globe again..anyone who wants to be blind copied my letters (and responses) please PP me your email address. I would like to see this develope into a pretty aggressive vocal action group. Man am I PO'd!!!!Don.

Waldo: How have you been doing? Looks like Bid.com has bottomed out and is on the way up. Great to see. Bid.com's future looks great. The last few months I've been poking around with the UK free Internet companies X-stream Network (XSNI-Nasdaq) and FreeServe (FREE - Nasdaq) and Canada's Cybersurf (CY:ASE), they all need lots of DD however. They all depend mainly on advertising. Advertising on the Internet in the USA last year was valued at $1.7 billion. Internet advertising hopefully will be recognized to have a major advantage over advertising on television, radio, magazines and newspapers, etc. because "WITH INTERNET ADVERTISING YOU ARE JUST 1 CLICK AWAY FROM A TRANSACTION". Good Luck to all Bid.com shareholders as the summer doldrums seem to be coming to a end.!!
