So if you are worried about saving for your kid's tuition, the Red Eye's advice is to put your money behind the innovators Sun and the new Apple: two great solutions for that rainy day.

Hi Michael:

I did sell majority of my SUNW shares last year and earlier this year, but still have a few shares left. My reasons for selling had nothing to do with company's fundamentals (which continue to be strong), but was mostly to shift my money into semi conductor stocks. Bought more of LSI, and also bought ATML, XLNX, ALTR, AMAT, CY, DS, and TXN. I think we are at the very early stages of a historic upturn in the semi cycle (thanks to the internet revolution). Sun continues to be growing very nicely, however I personally do not believe at its current price (which I feel is a bit overvalued) you can get the same type of return we did 3-4 years ago when we first bought SUNW. For the same type of return look at semi stocks (practically all of them are cheap). My favorite of course is LSI Logic. For me LSI at this time is what SUNW was back in 1996, and in my view it will have double the growth as SUNW for the next 1-2 years. However as always just my humble opinion which has proven to be wrong many times in the past!

Regards,
