John, i actually agree with David that a big blow-off is possible once this correction ends. Joe B. is a perma-bull who if i remember correctly was extremely bullish right before the '87 crash, so i don't care much what he says...it's always the same old song anyway.

John Roque's parameters? what's that?

John,

Are you back in Japan yet? MBK and NTT are noticeably strong today due to the strong yen.

If anyone is interested in a speculative buy, try IIJI. (Internet Initiative Japan) It provides all sorts of internet related services. This one got IPOed recently, and the price has been all over the place, mostly up.

I believe it has about 45 million shares outstanding, so the market cap is about just over 2 billion based on today's closing price. Compared to AOL, YHOO, and all the other junks, IIJI has a long way to go if we ever see a manic run in Japan on the internet sector. Don't bother to check earnings, it is negative, a requirement of speculative plays. Quite a few of Japanese blue chip corporations are investors, including NTT, Sumitomo, Itochu and others.

Good luck to anyone who is going to play with it. This is not a recommendation, long or short.
