Dear Eylon: I have learned the hard way that CHEAP does not always mean GOOD. I suppose he feels that AMD down in the dumps may recover at least for the short term with the introduction of its new Chip (k-7 whose name has changed and I forgot already) however the fundamental problems at AMD have NOT gone away and I would consider it a speculative adventure as opposed to an Investment in INTC. <He did say that Intel is a great company but since it is at an all time high AMD is better investment now!>

Then according to his logic, AMD was, is, and always will be the better investment.

Eylon - Re: " How come Intel is at all time high, 30% up since his "sell" recommendation four month ago?"

You have caught the essence of Niles self-made debacle.

His opinions seem to be based on a common belief - that stocks that have had a good run up will not do as well as stocks that have spent the past 15 years in the Toilet - and AMD is a Toilet Dweller.

He fails to address the issue WHY AMD is in the toilet and WHY Intel is near an ALL TIME HIGH.
