Mike, I saw swiss's note and said HO HO HO. When the day of tough love and economic violence arrives people will realize that much of what they have been told about investing for the long term was based upon lies, deception, distortions of the truth, linear extrapolations of trends in a cyclical world, excessive optimism based upon unrealistic assumptions. Today's market participants seem to overlook that much of what they taught to believe comes from those who have a vested interest in the continuation of the bull market. Few seem to question the sustainability of a bubble where paper wealth grows much faster than capacity of the real world to produce the wealth from which securities derive their value. Yes, the speculative orgy can last far longer than many could imagine especially when the central bank seems to welcome the bubble but it always ends in a bust. mike
