FiNet.com Announces David Smilow, Chairman of Telebanc Nominated to Join Board of Directors
WALNUT CREEK, Calif., Aug. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- FiNet.com Inc. (Nasdaq: FNCM - news) owner and operator of finet.com, ''America's Home Finance Network,'' today announced that David Smilow, Founder and Chairman of Telebanc Financial Corporation, has been nominated to join its Board of Directors.

Telebanc, which recently announced a merger agreement with E*TRADE, was founded by Mr. Smilow in 1987. As former CEO, he helped build the company from a start-up, to a leading Internet bank with a market valuation of more than $1.8 billion.
