No, of course not. A certain amount of empathy and sensitivity is needed to be human. I get bothered by the prevailing attitude that we all need to be driven by our "feelings" and we should "emote" more. A little critical thinking would be nice. Sometimes it seems the country is getting soft in the head.

Edit: The depressing thing is, my not very serious suggestion would probably work.

Mark, empathy and sensitivity are bad when someone i.e. the Clintons use it as an excuse for bad behavior without meaning a word of it...TD
