Get away with what? No one with first hand knowledge has accused him of anything.

Dozens of people claim to have first hand knowledge of Clinton using cocain. And one woman claims to have very first hand knowledge of at least 1 rape.

But it doesn't matter.

You do not seem to be conversant with the idea of repentance. If Mr. Bush were currently behaving in such a manner, or if it were so recent that one could regard his reformation as shaky and his motives as questionable, you might have something. Besides, not all human failings are the same, and everyone is expected to lapse in some manner some time. There is no sense in trying to mash it all together: for example, I have said that I regard late term abortions more seriously than others, or that I would be willing to support the rape/incest exemptions. I think that Livingstone should have stepped down, and that he was reckless in putting himself forward as Speaker, but that the Hyde business was a tempest in a teapot. Finally, whatever one's personal failings, they do not reflect on the merit of your public policy positions: suppose that I burned my leaves in the Fall, would that mean I could not support emission control standards?....
