Lindy,

O well, ok, if we have to settle for 468, so be it. Life is getting more and more depressing!!

Hey, I will settle for 268!!

My Q friends:

<On 5.85 earnings, 80PE times 5.85 earnings = 468 price,
with a market cap of 73 Billion.>

My projection for 12/31/00 is a 300+ stock price for the mighty Q.
I look for QCOM to "manage" earnings, management will try to cap quarterly
growth of pro forma earnings at 20%. Just one person's opinion.

sure is a nice day
Michael

Lindy, I love your numbers but I have to think they are unreasonably high, imho.

.86x4 gives us a current e pace of 3.44. If q grows at 50%, in a year it would be at a 5.16 e pace. A pe of 50 would give a price of 258.

The whole problem, as we all know, is that we can't predict e or pe well on something exploding like this. The e could be 1.40 in a year(for that q) but a pe of 70 on that pace could be attached. 5.60x 70 is 392. 392 is a lot higher than 258 ;>)

We are better off focusing on 5 years from now and watching the fundamentals strengthen, hopefully, in the meanwhile.

ps: I know you were just having fun and ALL the numbers look like fun to me!

Lindy-

I like the analysis. I think investing wise, aggresively is 40 times earnings which cuts those stock prices in half. Still an excellent return. Instead of thinking of trading the same as cisco, I prefer to think of it as buying at 1/2 of cisco's price.

I think it will be 3-4 years, if ever, that average joe investor thinks of Qualcomm and cisco as equivalents. Right now, joe individual investor thinks internet builders = cisco. It'll be a while before the same joe equates wireless phones = qualcomm. JMHO.

As others have stated those figures look high. Personally, I have been "targeting" 260 around this time next year, but it's just through feel.
