When you take that stance, you are essentially putting yourself on a "moral high ground".

You think the Republicans are unique in taking that stance? Have the Democrats come out (publicly) as the party of lust, drugs, devil worship? Think not.

See if you can detect a difference:

Press: Mr. Bush, Rep Dashold tells us that a rumor has it you used drugs when you were a kid. Anything to it?
Mr. Bush: None of your business.

Press: This is a legitimate question. You are running for the highest office in the country. Your lack of denial requires us to dig into every nook and cranny of your life and continuously ask you the same question over and over until you drop out of the race! Outrageous!! Who do you think you are!!??

Press: Mr. President, Mrs. Broadrick claims you raped her while you were AG of Arkansas. Anything to it?
President: See my lawyer.
Press: Ok, never mind.

100 points if you can spot the democrat in the story above.

Round II of "can you spot the Democrat":

A.
Press: Congressman Livingstone, our private investigators have dug out proof that you're having an affair. What about it?

Livingston: I admit it. I'm ashamed. I resign.

Press: You dirty rotten HYPOCRITE!!!

B.
Press: Gov. Romer, you now admit you've been having an affair for past 20 years and yet for 20 years you've been strenuously denying it. Why did you lie?

Romer: Because if I hadn't lied I wouldn't have gotten elected. DUHH!*

Press: [lusty laughter esp. from female reporteretts] Roy, you are our kind of man!!

*This is an acurate paraphrase of what this man actually said.

Michelle, since you are the one who wants to put us on the "moral high ground" then you are admitting that you,and your liberal cohorts are on the moral low ground. I agree. No one knows if what GW did was a felony or not but,as I said to you before, the statute of limitations has run out and, what you can not seem to understand, is that there are millions of Americans who have had addictions and have learned valuable lessons from them. BUT, I must add, that having a few drunken binges in college years does not make anyone an alcoholic. I know exactly what an alcoholic is because I have been one.I am certainly not proud of it nor am I ashamed of it,per se. I am ashamed of many of the things I did while under the influence of this demon and have made amends wherever possible. I will also stress that alcoholism is not a disease. That is a cop-out for the weaklings who are unable to admit they made the wrong choice in attempting to meet the pressures of life. It has been clearly indicated that GW did not make an on going habit of any of the childish romps of his youth. Without the lingering habit, there is no addiction. Therefore, your slur of calling him alcoholic is just that. An unsubstantiated slur. Since you have no valid arguement, you reduce yourself to a simpering name caller...TD
