Can anyone help explain the gross spread, selling concession and reallowance. (I think I got the delivery part) Please explain as though I were a 2nd grader. TIA 19 Aug 9:39 NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--An offering of 2.5 million common shares of Ancor Communications Inc. (ANCR) was priced at $27.625 each through underwriters led by Banc of America Securities. Gross spread is $1.52, selling concession is 86 cents and reallowance is 10 cents. Delivery is scheduled for Aug. 24. <If you're worried about Ancor's future> I'm not <you probably woulda already sold> I haven't <so I don't know why the worried question.> Hurried not worried and I guess a little greedy. I was posting in a rush and just wondered when Ancor could officially break the silence. I hate missing stuff and I am going to be on vacation. I don't like quiet periods and I was uncomfortable with the silence at the last earnings release. I'm sorry if this came off as disappointment over the lack of news. You're right - the secondary closing is big news. I am very pleased with what Ancor has accomplished, glad they now have the cash to continue, and elated that I now ponder concepts such as early retirement (damn I'm greedy).
