Michelle,

That is the reason options are meant to be sold! They are a wasting asset, no if's, and's, or but's about it! Sell when stocks make big moves when the premium jumps up and buy them back when the premium is sucked out of them or better yet just watch them waste away to $0 on expiration day!

Fwiw to anybody interested, I watch options daily on the big stocks and it isn't worth trading them unless you get a
10-pt move, and in some cases like ebay even more (due to the spreads). So I doubt going from puts to call intraday on
days like today is profitable.
