We use Starr as an example of bad management in the software industry now. The point is, if someone writes a program it is never enough to say "I just did my job". Kind of applying Japanese management techniques to the auto industry... if you are on the assembly line and you know that something in the big picture isn't quite right, even though you are doing your job, then pull the "stop production lever". This is stuff we say to entry level people, you assume leaders already know this... amazing
