Sure, if intel doesn't support any memory other than rambus, so that rambus is insulated from its price penalty, it will do very well. If the market is allowed to choose based upon price and performance, well, we'll see.

As far as Cyrix is concerned, I don't think that it will make or break rambus either way. If Intel adds support for PC133 to coppermine, and especially if Intel adds PC133 support to timna, cyrix will have to do the same (Intel may be able to afford a price penalty, Cyrix cannot). But even if Cyrix dumps all rambus support, I wouldn't expect it to be a major factor.
