Early selloff in tech and internets (after strong internet surge yesterday), Rambus included. Continued selling in internets while semi's rebounded, Rambus included. Rambus tested major support at ~82 which is a reverse head and shoulders support line within this base. It either goes up or down from here unless it stays the same. w

RE: <What is people's take on today's action?> IDF starting Aug 31 will be good news/bad news for Rambus. I think that Intel will have some bad news that they are supporting PC133 in some of their chip sets due to poor availability/high price of drdrams. They will also provide lots of good news for Rambus in benchmarks and everything else. But I think that they will preannounce the bad news sometime between now and Aug 30 to get it out of the way so that it doesn't muck up the atmosphere during IDF. When that preannouncement comes it will probably have a bad effect on rmbs (even though it has been telegraphed). Therefore I sold on the opening bounce on Monday at 86 1/2 and am looking to get back in on the preannouncement dip. Others may be dumping also on the expectation of the PC133 announement.
