*really* but we had so much fun with this one....I think most of us understand that is to be expected with a new product like this and I am speaking for myself now but I'm sure this is the opinion of many and that is we will hang in there and try to help you make this the best product possible.

A minor annoyance.

Could you do away with the disabling of the "View Next 10 Messages" when there are only 2 new messages to view?

I am in the habit of hitting the "View next 10 Messages" link every time. However, if there are only 2 messages this is disabled. However, if there are 12 new massages, I look at the first one, then the next 10, and, with only one message left, can still select "View Next 10 Messages".

If you are not going to catch all instances where "View Next 10 Messages" is equivalent to "Next", why bother detecting any. It interrupts the use flow with little, if any, gain.

(Please don't go FED on me and detect my contrary example and disabling the link, rather than deleting the unique case currently done.)

Thanks,

Ira

OK I figured out my pm problem...instead of just hitting publish message button which closes out the thread and forces you on a difficult path back all you need to do on AOL after hitting publish is mouse down to open link in new window...same kind of thing exists for netscape and probably as well for IE so perhaps you can ask the techno wizard guy brad how hard it would be to make that happen by just hitting the publish button.....not that is so hard to mouse down but rather as a relative beginner which I believe many of are it was not intuitive for me so I struggled with it until I figured out the problem with the help of Rtev on this thread...others may just get annoyed and never figure it out.

Bryan, re: Grey/White Striping

This is a "style" thing. On message header pages in Stocktalk you went from bullets to striping to segment items. I am not a fan of stripes. They disrupt eye flow down the list - I can't scan down like I can on the old SI.

-> Could you do something else - or at least lighten the grey shade to about a third of the existing darkness level?

Thanks

Jeff
