I know that most probably don't want to hear about how happy I am to have had extra cash to add to my CMGI position today, but I wasn't sure that I would be able to add to it <80. I'm a long term believer, so I would have added were it at 95-100, but happier nonetheless.

Anybody hearing any earnings news/whispers/rumors/BS ? After the somewhat disappointing (at least ambivalent) last quarter announcement, it would be great to have a blow-out of expectations and forward prognosis. Hopefully DW is on that wavelength. Not worried much about the long term, as this is one of my core of 10 net stocks that I add to with extra earnings and trading profits, but up is better than...

I am torn between enjoying those 20-30% quick runs, and on the other hand, secretly wanting the behavior of my AOL's, AMZN'S, YHOO'S...to become more Dell-like. Not recent Dell, but the Dell that has made me a lot of money the last couple of years doing the 2-4 day up for every 1-2 back consistency. Was a little boring until I looked back every 6 months or so. Not a Dell-ionaire by any means, but sure did very well with limited funds. Sure wish that I would have drank less of my student loans, and put more of it into DELL etc ! :) Now that I can afford to drink expensive beer, I stopped...

Brian -- We were riding the bubble for a few months and had to come back to earth. CMGI still lags in coverage behind other less worthy internet stocks because for any analyst to take it on is a big project. Still, we should have attracted more coverage by now. That is important because the more discerning the investing public becomes about the internets, the more they will scrutinize analyst coverage and thus the more coverage we get, the better. I think we still suffer somewhat in the definition department. Are we an almost mutual fund, an almost venture capital fund, and almost operating company, or what? I for one would prefer the definition of operating company with a portfolio of venture investments rather than the other way around. Overall, I think we are past the bubble stage and entering a period when P/E and revenue growth becomes all the more important in attracting investor interest. A few consecutive quarters of revenue exceeding expectations will make a huge difference, in my opinion. BTW, today's action shows clearly that we are a ways from being out of the woods.
