Dear Alien Tech -

Actually there are 3 first tier Av players in the market. NETA, SYMANTEC and Trend Micro. Each one has market share in theier respective markets...NETA and Symantec with the principal share of the av market. However, Things have changed...Groupware, Exchange and Lotus messaging plus Gateway protection have been what most Corporates are looking for these days. As well as cross platform compatiblility and scalability...Trend Micro has been offering this solution for some time...perhaps even 20 million users are using TMIC product today and growing. As ebusiness and ISP begin to lower cost of conection they will begin to charge for services...ones service is virus free email. TMIC is considered a leader by many in this field....Therefore a shift...which means TMIC has been making quite a bit of noise...of course, they are based in Japan...TMIC does have an ADR listing on the NASDAQ and has announced a 3-1 split....in november this year...Check out their web site...www.antivirus.com....of course the majority of the business remains in the SME, but it looks as though a shift may occur in outsourcing security especially at the SME level....

These are just my personal opinions....
