TSE:ATY gapped up today (closing at 21.50) but did not fall back to "fill the gap". I view this as very bullish, ala the 3 day up rule. Watch ATY tomorrow and Monday.

Note: I'm "In the Money" on ATY call options, but hoping to go deeper "Into the Money".

Yours truly,

Brian Diggle

Are technology stocks fated to drift up and down slightly for the next few days? That's what Thursday's 1.4-percent drop in the technology-rich Nasdaq index suggests. Macroeconomic worries, such as interest rates and the dollar, are dominating the markets. Since there's little in the way of news anticipated for Friday, expect the markets to be driven by investors' emotions even more than usual. upsidetoday.com

Okay, I'm doing some charting on a few stocks, one of which is CN.b. I notice that todays volume is ten times that of yesterdays and twenty times that of the day before. It was up $0.05 on the day. No news. Further research produced this:

1999-08-19 13:38 T CN.B 7.700 -.050 100000 770,000 First Marathon First Marathon
1999-08-19 14:43 T CN.B 7.750 .000 60000 465,000 First Marathon First Marathon
1999-08-19 15:48 T CN.B 7.700 -.050 400000 3,080,000 First Marathon First Marathon
1999-08-19 15:48 T CN.B 7.700 -.050 422200 3,250,940 First Marathon First Marathon

Nearly a million shares crossed by First Marathon @ ~ $7.70. 822,200 shares 12 minutes before close. What do you (anybody really) make of this?

Are you saying you can short BII through Greenline? They told me today that I couldn't sell it short because it was not marginable.
