I sort of remember the news beginning of the year about the Go2Net logo on Evander Holyfield shorts during a big fight....I asked my husband to check it out, because he saw the fight, but didn't even notice the logo. Oh well....so much for teaming up with sports.

Or after Holmgren sticks his fat finger in a fans face as he did at Lambeau.

In basketball the cheerleaders could have a cheer for the players to score a basket with a not so subliminal message that went something like "GO TO BASKET GO TO NET GO GO GO GO TO BASKET GO TO NET" They could do this all year and I bet no one would notice what had been said or done but it would then be in their brains.....that sounds pretty catchy to me PA you need to do this.

There's nothing stopping them from painting the white Go2Net quotation bubble in the endzone, is there? (Hmm, there probably is.)

I fear that would have to wait for the new stadium. I believe that all advertising in the Kingdome is contracted by King County. But then, the Seafirst logo on the scoreboard doesn't serve much of a purpose anymore now that they're changing their name. Maybe that space is available. Or maybe they could replace the Reebok logo on the uniforms. But that's probably a bit pricey.

I suspect the Blazers are the better tie-in. Once the muddled cable situation in Portland is settled, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see AT&T and Charter do some horse-trading of territories to give Charter control of the Portland franchise.

{edit} And I hadn't even considered how appropriate the "Go2Net" name is for basketball. Great point, levy.
