Ali, Re: Apparently the FutureMark did very sloppy
job optimizing for AMD 3DNow with Athlon
extensions, or refused to incorporate
them in a timely manner, so AMD had to
step in and show the class. Are you
having problem with that?

This is the real problem AMD is facing. AMD had to step
in for optimizing someone else's benchmark program,
AMD had to step in to make announcement about someone
else's system using its CPU, AMD had to step in on
the boot problem in Windows 95(with K6).

AMD had to step in almost every time. The market is not
on its side. May be AMD should step in again and take
Intel's route and make motherboard itself given the rumor
that Intel is pressuring Taiwan MB vendors for not making
MB for Athlon.

Re: "The code was already full-blown optimized for
Pentium-III SSE, don't you see?! "

How do you know it was fully optimized for Intel's SSE? Do you know for sure that Intel optimized the code? If it wasn't fully optimized for 3DNow it may have not been for SSE either. Perhaps you can clear that up please.
