Ken, I checked out my city and the Navy report shows a potential problem with gas only. My home doesn't use gas nor are there any gas lines in my neighborhood.

Do you think it's reasonable to interpret this report as saying that my electrical, water, and sewer services are good to go?

Karen

excellent find, Ken. Yes, i found your post factual, informative and oh so chilling. makes me glad Janelle and i moved from ABC city to XYZ location.

and our decision to do so was made and executed BEFORE the secnav/alnav document leak to jim lord you just posted.

also appreciate all the formating and typing you did to share that with the thread. don't expect much in the ways of appreciation from most of the others. they are engaged in the worst re-make of blind man's bluff i've ever seen a bunch of grownups play.

sad! how very very sad for 26 million americans who just MIGHT like to have been told their fate was sealed by our lousy 'leadership' in the oval orifice.

Ken is right on this -
The Navy department Y2K report that has been circulating on the internet is not a hoax says Koskinen- Clintons Y2K czar
and it is not pretty folks-

search.washingtonpost.com

excerpt-

>> A Navy report predicts ''probable'' or ''likely''
failures in electrical and water systems for many cities because of the Year
2000 technology problem -- an assessment more dire than any other made
by the government. <<

>>The Navy report was first summarized on an Internet site run by Jim Lord,
a Y2K author, who said he obtained it ''from a confidential source of the
highest reliability and integrity.''
''The military has to work from the worst case, but so do we,'' Lord told
The Associated Press on Thursday. ''It's reprehensible for them to know
this and keep it from us.'' <<<
