gao, I don't know about this board being mostly "dedicated" to the stock market. maybe it was when SI ran the whole show but there is now some sort of partnership with the Coffee Shop which is not dedicated in any particular direction. I,for one, am not the least bit interested in tech stocks but am waiting for their bubble to burst high,wide,and handsome. There are too many jerks involved in that industry to keep it stable.

That people on ss would not gain economically is not,neccesarily so. Many get such a small check that it wouldn't take much to surpass it in earnings. Even those who get a comfortable check can make up to $700 a month without penalty. Since ss recipients have to pay income tax on their benefits, what's the difference in that respect? Some older people would like to work just to feel like they are contributing something to the community. These younger people who care only about amassing a fortune,don't understand that....TD
