But the notion of women and men being viewed as equal in the same way we think of the term today is pure nonsense. I'm pretty sure no culture ( even our own up until about 20 years ago ) has ever tried to view man and women as equal in the way we think of the term today. We are embarked on an experiment unique in the history of mankind. We won't know all the repercussions for at least 100 years.
