I see the issues as intertwined. The same conditions that would have them consider devaluation might cause them to build up patriotic fervor about Taiwan neither of which will be great for the markets

True but after the short term correction if this action turns out to be the best the market can do I doubt he's a happy camper. I recall he did mention the possibilities of testing the correction lows. I wonder if that's still an issue. Any way I guess we'll see what Bob does and whether being aggressive or very cautious at this point works out in the fullness of time
