Have you ever heard of Nikki and the Corvettes? They were from Detroit, where I was living at that time. Nikki was one of my best girlfriends, and she had connections at every turn. She knew the Ramones also (never one of my favorite bands), and I always remember seeing them around at clubs when we went to NYC. Great times, huh? Jean

Well, maybe one more story since you mentioned the Psychedelic Furs... I first saw the Furs when they opened for the Talking Heads at the Palace Theater in Albany. After their set I and my "date" went backstage to talk to them. We were the only people in the dressing room. My only recollection was that, at least on that night, they were a rather depressed bunch. When the Heads came on my "date" stayed backstage and watched the whole show in the wings. Since she only wanted to get together with me to go to shows I feel compelled to put the word "date" in quotes (g). - Jeff
