Here's a good top level read on cable vs wireless vs DSL...it's an old article, but a good introduction to the subject

fwiw...given the choice, I'd take DSL...I hate traffic jams

xDSL is certainly not a dead horse. I just believe cable will be the dominant carrier. But there is certainly a market for xDSL and there is plenty of money to be made by all methods of broadband communications.

COVD is like many others poised on the brink near their lows. . . New lows and decliners still beating new highs and advancers, respectively. . . so much of what has happened to COVD is market related.

The stock is selling exactly where it was when this upgrade was written back in June: cbs.marketwatch.com

I would think that a DSL mania is hiding around the corner. . . COVD, RTHM, MGCX, NPNT, NXTL, etc. etc. While volume is so low. . we are seeing the beaten downs pop on speculation. . . so it is certainly worth grabbing those way off their highs in an important sector, such as xDSL. . .to hold for the pop.

That is the near-term view. . .longer term. . stay with the leader. . .COVD appears to be the DSL leader, with 15+ million installations.
