And actually, many perceive that the Asian crisis was mainly caused by being overleveraged in dollar denominated debt instruments and possessing inadequate reserves of foreign currencies with which to defend their own.

Recently WDC moved their operations to Malaysia. Dollars if I am correct are not traded there It is solid par say currency which creates stability in a labor market. The currency trade is in my opinion is embellished due to the overreaction of traders.
As I stated last night there is world corporate impact due to currency. Sony is a wonderful company who just happens to have locations in the us our dollar proving costly on their books obvious being that reduction of value us currency re yen will be beneficial to certain Japanese companies.
I am stumped whoever on a world base as to how one lets the free market determine the value.
JIT is reducing cost by curtailing over production .cost containment storage etc. Estimates of needs on the part of exporters are also contingent on the dollar base. Technology world wide creating not only efficient manufacturing but cost containment .
We are already aware there have been shortages of certain items which is inflationary. We are attempting to raise rates to reduce inflationary pressure but I wonder if they by product will be greater inflation .
I don't know what the formula is for a currency crisis I do know that inflation reduces the dollar value.
