re Omega's Radarstation... nasty marketing games

I just discovered a deceitful little marketing game carried out by Omega Research.

1. Give Free 30 day trial of Prosuite 2000i, then immediately start billing $300.00 a month after trial expires, and don't notify trialee ...even if nothing was signed, and billing "installments" weren't explicitly mentioned. Ok, fine, I'll eat the first 300.00 for an extended 90 day trial...but lets continue ...

2. Advertise Radarstation on website (even w/picture of "box"), give interested parties a "shopping basket", into which they can add their very own copy of Radarstation, then tell that interested party IT REALLY ISN'T DOESN'T EXIST AS A STAND ALONE APP. Thus, the trialee is now forced to keep Prosuite 2000, kit and kaboodle, in order to use Radarstation for a mere $4804.35 (NY taxes included) ...which, according to Omega's customer service, "most people do".

When I mention QCHARTS kicks its ass, they commence with the "no other applications allow strategy backtesting" lamentation ...yeah, like I sit around conjuring up "strategies" and backtest night and day ...all by my lonesome.

I'm done now.
