Nicely framed scenario, Ram. Let's see how that might play out in the next several trading days.

Paul, the certain way of ending the game is for VLNC to announce a sizeable purchase order. Until VLNC can demonstrate they can produce and sell their product in volume, the stock price seems to be at the mercy of the big boys who are playing this stock, whomever they may be.

Whether today's recovery marks the bottom, or is simply a whipsaw in a downward trend, I do not know and hesitate to even guess.

PS, when Castle Creek decides to convert, they can cover their shorts (assuming they have shorted) by the simple act of conversion. Unless they have shorted more shares than they will be able to obtain upon conversion, they can cover without buying stock in the open market, since the common shares they receive upon conversion can be delivered to cover their short position.

There is an excess of focus on issues that are at the margin. None of the attention on the terms of the CC deal would be germane if the company's fundamental state were able to support a higher share price. The share price is down 20% in the last 14 months because it has underdelivered from a position of weakness. It is clear to see with the passage of time that the blip up at the end of last year was based on emotion and unreasonable expectations that were not met. They still are not met, even fractionally.

Discuss the financing strategies if you choose, just don't lose sight of the reason why the very discussion you entertain is relevant at all.
