The retail/wholesale conversion was built into the percentage multipliers used by the poster, as I recall. In other words, I think one of the percentage multipliers brought the sales # down from retail to wholesale price. I don't think it greatly changes the ballpark #'s, but the original poster's calculations appear to assume that all additional revenues flow through to the bottom line as earnings. I presume there would be incremental sales expenses, as well, which should reduce from the bottom-line earnings numbers.

The original poster also conservatively included nothing for international sales of pokemon. Certainly it is possible that the craze could reach other countries from the U.S. The potential? It's anybody's guess.
