"almost any financial transaction on the internet that does not involve human intervention, and even allows for some human intervention as well. These two patents also go back to 1993 as well. This is not just my layman's interpertation; but the opinion of knowledgeable patent people. Folks, read the patents (the US GOV PATENT link was posted a few msgs. ago), what the Patent Office has granted are broad brush patents. They appear to cover any closed loop financial transaction that occurs over the internet and this second patent reinforces and broadens the first. I don't think that financial institutions have yet realized how huge these two patents will be. This is not the first time in history that a significant event has been overlooked. Just look at the history of the operating system DOS for an example. The key to this Company are the patents
