<<Searching for a reason to buy the stock.>>

I doubt you will find one.

If you want the stock really cheap, wait until December. I will be selling a lot of stock to take the tax loss. I believe others will also. Absent news (and why would anyone in their right mind expect good news on this stock), Naxos will be trading below 10 cents in December.

Max,
You said it all. 18cents bid. Who cares what Mark or anyone else thinks. I've lost enough on this play to graduate two children from Harvard! But where there is life there is still hope.
I am more concerned that ALL the leases have been paid than who put up the money. I am also assuming that, in lieu of a press release from the company, ALL the leases have been paid as promised in the 8/13/99 press release.
I assume that the company took the best available “deal” to raise the necessary capital. If they didn't then I believe that a Class Action suit is in order. And if that is the case then I am happy to contribute to a Class Action Suit fund.
I have been criticized in the past for complaining that the company didn't have a plan in place for the development of this property. Well here we are two years later and we still don't have one. The few token press releases in the past year or so may placate some but not me. If you think me wrong then let's argue with an 18-cent bid!
I hope that this insensitive management (who by some have my best interest at heart) can at least update the faithful as to the payment status of the leases and of the financing details, what was offered vs. what was accepted or rejected.
