I don't follow RRC but looking at the chart is interesting. The main concern as I see it is that earlier this year the stock was trading below 2, so even at 5 1/2 it's up 300% from the low.

The moves have been pretty much textbook (#s rounded for your viewing pleasure) :

1 3/4 to 3 1/2 up
3 1/2 to 2 1/2 down
2 1/2 to 5 1/2 up
5 1/2 to 3 3/4 down
3 3/4 to 7 up
7 to ? (5 1/2) down

Is the stock overextended, basing for the next move north or still in the latest downtrend? The 64K question!

"Lower Prices Still Appear Necessary"

personalwealth.com

S&P Market Analyst Paul Cherney says short-term indicators have been

whipsawed by price action. One of his end-of-day models issued a sell

signal after the close of trading on Wednesday. Breadth measurements

based on the NYSE advancers and decliners have issued flags of caution,

according to Cherney. He notes that Friday is a Double Witch, and it's

anyone's guess as to how the markets will perform. His end-of-day models

are, on balance, negative, suggesting that we have to see lower prices

before the markets can shake themselves free of the non-believers.

"S&P Upgrades Anadarko Petroleum Shares to Buy"

personalwealth.com

S&P upgraded its investment recommendation on shares of Anadarko

Petroleum (NYSE: APC) to 5 STARS (buy) from 3 STARS (hold). Analyst

Norman Rosenberg says APC is well-positioned to benefit from strong gas

prices. According to Rosenberg, the company is the clear industry leader

in terms of growing its reserve base, with much better than average

reserve life, reserve replacement, and finding costs. He says APC is now

trading at a solid discount to his estimated reserve value per share, and

sees this as a chance to buy one of the industry's top players at a good

price.
